For the month of November, the Arts Health Network NSW / ACT (AHNNA) will be hosting a series of speaker presentations as online videos, here on its website and reposting these to its social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn).
“As part of The Making Effect AHNNA are showcasing the work of artists impacted by, or responding to crises, such as the event we have seen throughout 2020. To accompany this we will be posting a series of videos from a people from a rage of backgrounds and disciplines speaking about the role of art in these time. They include artists, researchers, curators, and therapists talking about, why we need art in times of crises, the role of art in the process of recovery, how art can support resilience, and how art, creativity and making engage, connect and facilitate shared experiences. Videos will be posted on Fridays throughout November. You will be invited to share comment and engage in conversation with us at the AHNNA.” Gail Kenning.
The speaker series is curated by Dr Gail Kenning.
Gail is an artist, designer and researcher exploring creativity and wellbeing and is Research Fellow at Ageing Futures Institute, University of New South Wales. She is also senior researcher the University of Technology Sydney.
